FAQs

Learn more about our remodel process

Why is it important to work with a contractor that is licensed, bonded, and insured?
By working with a licensed, bonded, and insured pool contractor, you can rest assured we have the knowledge, experience, and coverage to safely and properly revamp your pool – everything will be done to industry’s best practices.
Why does Stanton Pools not ask for a deposit?
We only ask for progress payments after certain phases of each job are complete. Unlike most contractors, we’ve never felt right asking for payment before work was done. This way, you’re in control and can trust we will complete each phase to your satisfaction.
What is the warranty on plaster and pebble?
Pebble has a 10-year warranty on bubbling, delamination, and pop-off (it often lasts 15-20 years). Plaster has a similar warranty, but only for 2 years because it is not as durable of a material compared to pebble.
Does Stanton Pools include the startup with every remodel?
Absolutely. It is extremely important that the pool contractor does the startup because it maintains accountability. By doing the startup ourselves, we can be sure the process is correctly done from start to finish.
Why should I work with a company that is a certified installer recognized by NPT?
Being a certified installer by NPT means the plaster/pebble company went through a stringent review process to qualify. With our certificate, Stanton Pools has proven to uphold certain quality application practices that get you the best and most durable finished surface. It also means our warranty is backed by the manufacturer, so you are completely covered.
Why is the chip out method better than hydroblasting for plaster removal?
Hydroblasting is similar to pressure washing and only removes part of the original surface to be replaced. The chip out method, however, removes significantly more of the old surface to expose most of the concrete shell of the pool. By using the chip out method, the new material (e.g., pebble) has much better adhesion to the shell of the pool, which greatly reduces the likelihood of delamination and extends the life of your new surface.

water features

Woodland Hills homes are as unique as the surrounding mountain trails. Styles range from classic to modern, but the thing many of them have in common are backyards with pools. Swimming and water sports are understandably very popular among residents in the area.

Stanton Pools has experience in Woodland Hills and we have helped dozens of homeowners here with pool and backyard transformations. We provide everything from structural crack repair and replastering to complete backyard remodels. Instead of having to contact different companies to perform different jobs on your swimming pool, why not just let Stanton Pools do everything for you? This eliminates the stress and the problems involved when having to deal with multiple people for one project. No need to schedule appointments with two or three businesses as talking to just one company keeps things simple and makes it easier for you to keep track of the progress of your pool’s remodeling project.

Trust your Woodland Hills remodel with Stanton Pools.

3. Pool Plaster and Resurfacing

Two of our many areas of expertise are pool plaster and resurfacing. Having been in the business for more than a decade, we know pools in the Woodland Hills area more than any company in the industry.

We admit there are a lot of companies that offer similar pool remodeling service in the Ventura and Los Angeles County areas. However, our difference is that we take a careful and calculated approach to plastering and resurfacing your pool.

To protect your pool during the pool remodeling Thousand Oaks project, we use precision pneumatic tools to cautiously remove the old shell. A jackhammer is used to tear down tough areas. With the old surface removed, our skilled pool remodeling professionals then apply the new plaster.

In addition, we will take care of the construction debris.

4. Complete Plumbing and Electrical Upgrades

There’s more to a pool remodel than meets the eye. Sometimes, pool remodeling involves converting your pool plumbing.

We at Stanton Pools offer pool plumbing services such as converting your pool’s plumbing from copper to PVC pipes.

Pool professionals, like us, acknowledge the benefits of using PVC pipes compared to conventional copper pipes. One advantage is that PVC pipes are quieter than copper ones. These plastic pipes produce less noise even with higher water velocities and speeds making them a favorite for most of our customers.

Another benefit of using PVC pipes is they are thicker than copper pipes which means they are more durable than their copper counterparts. Plus, they are easier to install and are cheaper.

These things greatly contribute to the overall cost and how fast your Woodland Hills project gets finished.

5. Complete Equipment Package Upgrades and Relocation

When remodeling a pool, equipment may sometimes need to be relocated — either to follow the plan set by the customer or to simply protect the equipment from the elements. An upgrade may also be in order should the pool being renovated be somehow dated.

Our Woodland Hills remodels come with optional complete equipment upgrades and relocation. We can source the latest components to make sure that your pool works as good as it looks. Speaking of which, we can help you upgrade your pool equipment by helping you choose from parts that are highly compatible with the system you’re currently running. For things like filters, pumps, suction and return manifolds, heaters, and even salt systems, we, at Stanton Pools, have you covered.

Should your existing pool equipment need to be relocated, our team of trained professionals can move them safely, preventing any unnecessary damage incurred from changing locations.
