Pool Resurfacing Valley Glen
1. High-Quality Pool Resurfacing
As an example, we start pool resurfacing projects by draining the pool and securing a safe place to dispose of the water. Further, it is important to open the pool’s hydrostatic valve. Otherwise, it will cause the swimming pool to pop off the ground causing additional work and extending the duration of the project. Not only does this simple — and often overlooked — step cause inconvenience to pool owners, but also prolong the time span of the undertaking.
Our trained pool professionals then slowly chip away the old surface to expose the concrete below, which is achieved by using hammers and chisels. These tools may appear basic and simple, but in the hands of an expert, they precisely break the old finish without causing any substantial damage to the concrete below.
In cases where we need to address structural issues, we use advanced pneumatic tools, like jackhammers. In our previous project, we had to go deeper to apply overlapping horizontal rebar, staples, and epoxy injection to repair cracks in the concrete. After which, we were able to resurface the pool by applying white plaster and waterline tiles.
After waiting for the materials to set and cure, we filled the swimming pool with water and applied the right amount of chemicals to balance the water. When we turned over the pool to our customer, we were confident that it was not only durable, but also looked even better than before.
2. A Wide Variety of Materials
A white plaster is not only more affordable, but also offers practical advantages for most pool owners. It’s clear finish enhances the beauty of the pool water and makes it look crystal clear from a distance. Additionally, pool owners that opted for white plaster can easily see if anyone in the pool needs help.
Conversely, colored plaster works great for those who want to follow a themed design. A blue-hued plaster can be achieved by adding colored aggregates. This not only enhances the tone of the plaster, but also slightly strengthens the surface after it has set and cured. Blue plaster can go well with pool decks decorated with blue accents. Think of the popular Mediterranean pool design, for example.
If you want something that’s longer lasting, you can opt to have your swimming pool resurfaced with pebbles. They are known to be more durable than plaster since their uneven surface makes it hard for minerals and unwanted microorganisms to growl and proliferate. Maintaining a pebble-finished pool can also be easier, although the cost of using pebbles could be higher.
Then, there are pool tiles. They are highly customizable and come in a wide variety of textures and colors. And while they may be expensive, they do give your backyard pool a bespoke look.
3. Pool Plumbing Replacement
See, old swimming pools are typically lined with steel plumbing — usually made from copper. The problem is, copper degrades over time. Old copper pipes can cause problems like rust, which ultimately blocks the flow of water.
That said, many of our customers who have taken up our pool resurfacing Valley Glen services opt to upgrade their pool pipes to PVC. PVC is not only cheap but also has several advantages over its copper counterpart. For one, PVC pipes do not make as much sound at high water speeds and velocities. Moreover, PVC pipes can better handle impact damage and are not susceptible to corrosion. Plus, they’re also easier to install allowing pool companies (like Stanton Pools) to quickly finish the job, and for pool owners to quickly enjoy a relaxing dip.
4. Pool Equipment Relocation
While almost anyone with enough breakfast and muscle can move swimming pool equipment, professionals, who know exactly how they work, can ensure that they are safely relocated. Amateurs may forget to remove a screw, snap a lock, or even break a component in the equipment bay simply for not knowing how a pool filter, a pool heater, or a pool pump works.
With Stanton Pools, we can ensure that the risks of transferring your pool equipment from one area to another are minimized. Our pool pros are knowledgeable in handling pool equipment of different make and models, so you can be sure that your prized pool equipment is in good hands.
And while we’re on the topic of pool equipment…
5. Pool Equipment Repair
While parts that can be salvaged will most likely be repaired, bear in mind that some of these parts may be broken and need to be replaced. When the technician advises you to replace a pool equipment part, please recognize that the advice was given with the best intention in mind.

Valley Glen Pool Maintenance Services
1. Weekly Pool Maintenance
On that note, our weekly pool maintenance services start with your pool professional scooping up debris from the pool water. Doing so will prevent them from decomposing in the water and affecting their chemical balance. It will be followed by a thorough brushing of the pool walls, the pool wall, and the pool tiles. The dirt and dust removed from brushing the surfaces will then be collected by a pool vacuum.
In addition, the pool’s lights, the equipment, and the overall structural integrity of the pool will be checked and reported to you, the owner.
2. Saltwater Pool Conversion
Compared to traditionally chlorinated swimming pools, a saltwater pool generates only the right amount of chlorine. The chlorine in these pools is just enough to kill germs and bacteria in the water, but not enough to damage swimsuits or cause hair discoloration and skin irritation. It’s also great for families with kids as this will not cause redness of the eye.
Saltwater swimming pools also enhance your family’s safety since you will no longer have to store hazardous chemicals at your home. This means your kids will not accidentally play with chlorine nor will your pets will not get to ingest the chemical.
Converting to a saltwater pool is a great way to level up your swimming pool experience and to make your pool safe for your family. You can get it here at Stanton Pools.
