Calabasas Pool Remodeling Services

Equipment for testing the quality of pool water and cleaning a pool

1. Custom Pool Features

We, at Stanton Pools, take pride in our ability to accommodate our client’s requests, especially when we take on a custom pool remodel project. Some of the custom pool features in which we specialize include fire pits and water features.

The former can heat up in your pool not only by providing our customer’s pool deck with a stylish source of light, but by also warming up the area. A fire pit can even extend their living room to their backyard; all they need to do is just throw in a few pieces of cozy patio furniture, and voila!

As for the latter, it can improve the looks and the aesthetic appeal of their backyard swimming pool. The right water features can make a small backyard piscina look like a stylish courtyard oasis. Fountains, waterfalls, sprayers, and scuppers can create the perfect ambiance and add a splash of fun to one’s private pool.

In addition, our customers who take up our Calabasas pool remodeling services can enjoy a few other features like pool lights, which can be installed on the pool walls, and under the pool coping.

Enjoy a wide variety of custom pool features when you remodel your swimming pool with us at Stanton Pools.

2. Changing the Pool’s Shape

In some cases, our customers also ask for their pool’s shapes to be changed when getting our Calabasas pool remodeling services. As an example, a kidney-shaped swimming pool can easily be changed to an oval one while a rectangular-shaped pool can simply be changed to look like a Roman-shaped pool. We also get requests to turn recreational pools to lap pools, and vice versa.

Furthermore, we can also change the depth of the swimming pool depending on the needs of our clients. Those living with kids usually want a splash pool built adjacent to the actual swimming pool. The splash pool gives their little ones a place to play in without being concerned that the kids will fall into deep waters.

Our Calabasas pool remodeling solutions can help our customers completely change their swimming pool’s appearance to suit their needs.

3. Pool Resurfacing and Replastering

One of our specialties in Calabasas pool remodeling is pool resurfacing and replastering. We help our customers significantly change the looks of their swimming pools simply by changing their surface.

For example, one of our customers who lives in the Calabasas area wanted to stick with white plaster for their swimming pool. White plaster can give your swimming pool a clean look and can highlight the clarity of the pool water. In addition, a white pool plaster can make it easy to spot signs of damage on the pool floor and pool walls. It will be easy to see mineral buildups, discoloration and developing algae. And since it will be effortless for a pool owner to see what’s in the pool with a white pool plaster, you can easily spot if anyone in the pool needs help. Plus, white pool plaster is generally cheaper than colored ones.

4. Equipment Relocation

Part of our Calabasas pool remodeling services is helping our customers relocate their pool equipment. Some pool remodeling jobs may require the pool equipment to be hidden out of sight while others may need to change the location of their pool equipment to protect it from the elements.

Our customers who go for a modern minimalist design could ask us to relocate their swimming pool equipment behind the greenery while others might want to house their pool pump, pool filter, and pool heaters in a roofed area.

Regardless of their needs, we, at Stanton Pools, can assure our customers that their pool equipment will be relocated safely, minimizing the risks of damaging their equipment by mishandling them. Our team are experts in various pool equipment and can transfer these items safely from one place to another.

Furthermore, we arrive on time to show our customers that we respect their time. We also clean up after the project and take care of moving the debris out of our customer’s property.

And while the money we receive keeps the business going, the smiles on our customers’ faces keep us motivated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it important to work with a contractor that is licensed, bonded, and insured?

By working with a licensed, bonded, and insured pool contractor, you can rest assured we have the knowledge, experience, and coverage to safely and properly revamp your pool – everything will be done to industry’s best practices.

Why does Stanton Pools not ask for a deposit?
We only ask for progress payments after certain phases of each job are complete. Unlike most contractors, we’ve never felt right asking for payment before work was done. This way, you’re in control and can trust we will complete each phase to your satisfaction.
What is the warranty on plaster and pebble?
Pebble has a 10-year warranty on bubbling, delamination, and pop-off (it often lasts 15-20 years). Plaster has a similar warranty, but only for 2 years because it is not as durable of a material compared to pebble.
Does Stanton Pools include the startup with every remodel?
Absolutely. It is extremely important that the pool contractor does the startup because it maintains accountability. By doing the startup ourselves, we can be sure the process is correctly done from start to finish.
Why should I work with a company that is a certified installer recognized by NPT?
Being a certified installer by NPT means the plaster/pebble company went through a stringent review process to qualify. With our certificate, Stanton Pools has proven to uphold certain quality application practices that get you the best and most durable finished surface. It also means our warranty is backed by the manufacturer, so you are completely covered.

Why is the chip out method better than hydroblasting for plaster removal?
Hydroblasting is similar to pressure washing and only removes part of the original surface to be replaced. The chip out method, however, removes significantly more of the old surface to expose most of the concrete shell of the pool. By using the chip out method, the new material (e.g., pebble) has much better adhesion to the shell of the pool, which greatly reduces the likelihood of delamination and extends the life of your new surface.

Other Calabasas Pool Maintenance Services

On top of our Calabasas pool remodeling services, we do offer maintenance services to help our customers keep their private oases in pristine condition. Here are a few benefits one can expect when availing oneself of these services.
pool cleaning

1. Weekly Pool Cleaning

It is important to keep your swimming pool clean as the dirt on the water can cause various problems. One of them is algae.

To prevent algae development, we start by scooping up debris floating on the pool. This could be trash, dead leaves, dried twigs, and even bugs. They can contaminate the pool water and might carry microorganisms that could develop in the swimming pool overtime.

Next, we follow it up by brushing the pool walls and the pool floor. This would help dislodge any dirt or bacteria that could have been stuck in the plaster, the pebble, or the tile. We finish it up by vacuuming the pool and collecting the dirt we just brushed.

Our pool professionals will also check the pool water and adjust the chemical balance as necessary.

Lastly, the pool guy will conduct a quick check of the pool’s structural integrity, the spa lights, and also the deck. Your pool equipment will also be checked to see if it is still running in good condition. Reports will be provided to you should the pool pro find any causes for concern.

2. Specialized Maintenance

Not all pools are made equal; some swimming pools require a little more tender loving care. That said, our customers can get our specialized swimming pool maintenance services — like our WiFi remote installation.

This will allow our customers to control the features of the swimming pool remotely. Say, for example, you have a variable-speed pool pump. You can adjust the speed of this pool equipment without having to go near the equipment bay; all you need to do is to press a few buttons. The same goes for a pool heater. A swimming pool with a pool heater installed can be controlled remotely allowing a pool owner to adjust the temperature of the swimming pool without having to fiddle with the valves from the equipment bay. The swimming pool will be waiting for you with just the right temperature.
